Home Care Worker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Deliver home assistance services to aged care clients, including general housekeeping tasks such as making beds, cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.

• Offer personal care services, which involve helping clients get out of bed, showered, and dressed.

• Aid clients with their medication schedules.

• Support clients in achieving their mobility and therapy objectives.

• Provide specialized care for individuals with significant needs, including those with dementia.

• Offer social and emotional support to clients.

• Transport clients to their lifestyle activities or appointments.

• Assist family caregivers by allowing them to take breaks or engage in other activities.

• Work autonomously, identify solutions to everyday challenges, and seek assistance from the manager when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 months’ experience in a comparable professional position.

• Familiarity with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medication administration.

• Valid Australian Driver's Licence.

• Possess an insured, roadworthy vehicle.

• Completion of a Statutory Declaration prior to starting the role is mandatory.

• A National Police check must be completed before commencing employment.

• A Working Rights check is required before starting the position.

• A pre-employment functional assessment needs to be conducted before employment begins.

• Capability to work independently and devise solutions to everyday issues.

• Ability to cultivate positive relationships with clients and their families.
