This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Assist aged care clients with home support services, which includes general housekeeping and bed-making.
• Clean, mop, and vacuum floors as part of maintaining a tidy environment.
• Manage laundry tasks including washing, folding, and ironing items.
• Prepare meals and perform grocery shopping as needed.
• Help clients get out of bed, showered, and dressed each day.
• Aid clients in taking their medications properly.
• Support clients with mobility and therapy objectives.
• Deliver complex care for clients with high needs, such as those with dementia.
• Offer social and emotional support to enhance client well-being.
• Transport clients to activities or appointments that promote their lifestyle.
• Provide respite for family caregivers, allowing them time to rest or attend to other tasks.
• Work autonomously, seeking solutions to daily challenges, and reach out to a manager for assistance when necessary.
• A minimum of 3–6 months’ experience in a comparable role.
• At least 3 months’ experience in a related professional capacity.
• Familiarity with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medication administration.
• A valid Australian Driver's Licence is essential.
• Possess an insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required.
• Certificate III in relevant field is not mandatory.
• Completion of a Statutory Declaration is required prior to starting.
• A National Police check must be completed before commencement.
• A Working Rights check is necessary before starting the position.
• A pre-employment functional assessment must be conducted prior to joining.
• A commitment to providing exceptional service is essential.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Comfortable working independently and resolving everyday challenges.
• Capacity to recognize when to seek assistance from a manager.
