Home Care Worker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Deliver home assistance services to aged care clients, encompassing general housekeeping tasks such as bed making, cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.

• Offer personal care, including helping clients get out of bed, showered, and dressed.

• Support clients with their medication management.

• Aid clients in achieving mobility and therapy objectives.

• Provide specialized care for clients with significant needs, including those with dementia.

• Offer social and emotional support to enhance client well-being.

• Transport clients to lifestyle activities or appointments.

• Assist family caregivers by allowing them to take breaks or attend to other responsibilities.

• Operate independently, identify solutions to daily challenges, and seek assistance from the manager when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a Certificate III qualification.

• Possess a Certificate III or higher in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Disability.

• Have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in a comparable role.

• Demonstrate experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medication administration.

• Maintain a valid Australian Driver's Licence.

• Have access to an insured and roadworthy vehicle.

• Complete a Statutory Declaration prior to starting.

• Undergo a National Police check before beginning employment.

• Pass a Working Rights check before commencement of duties.

• Finish a pre-employment functional assessment before starting.
