HIM MPI Integrity Analyst, Health Information Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the BHSF Master Patient Index (MPI) and ensure unique patient identifiers across acute care hospitals, outpatient services, ambulatory surgical centers, and Baptist Health medical groups.

• Detect and rectify any discrepancies in the patient MPI within clinical, financial, and administrative systems.

• Ensure the integrity of medical records to enhance patient safety and ensure continuity of care.

• Aggregate clinical patient data for Health Information Exchange to elevate the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of patient care.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve both individual and departmental objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or Experience.

• At least two years of experience in acute care medical record analysis.

• Minimum required experience: 3 years.

• Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy.

• Understanding of health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology.

• Capability to prioritize work and focus on details while making sound decisions in a fast-paced work environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

• Typing speed of 25 words per minute.

• Successful completion of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint assessments.

• Willingness to provide on-call coverage, including nights and weekends, for patient care support.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to perform under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor and delivering excellent customer service.

• Ability to work autonomously and fulfill assignments according to established guidelines and accepted practices.

• An associate degree in a related field is preferred.

• RHIT and/or RHIA certification is preferred.
