High School Science Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Oversee instructional programs for high school science students.

• Engage regularly with learning coaches and students via phone, online platforms, and curriculum tools.

• Manage grading, generate progress reports, and hold parent conferences.

• Facilitate asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous instruction.

• Evaluate curriculum and create alternative lesson presentations to enhance student comprehension.

• Develop and revise Personal Learning Plans and schedules in collaboration with parents, students, and teachers.

• Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, recommend instructional strategies, monitor assignments, and guide special projects.

• Work alongside teachers to support student advancement and serve as a primary contact for parents.

• Acquire extensive knowledge of the K-12 curriculum and in-depth understanding of assigned courses.

• Offer alternative strategies and additional support for assignments and projects.

• Keep accurate student records and data, including cumulative files, online information, attendance, and contact logs.

• Design enrichment activities and program adjustments in collaboration with teachers and learning specialists.

• Establish and nurture a virtual school community.

• Participate in the organization and administration of state testing.

• Coordinate with Advisory Teachers and School Counselors regarding communications, student progress, and goals.

• Join field trips and community events.

• Carry out other duties as assigned.

• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach High School Science in Kansas.

• Strong proficiency in technology, particularly with Microsoft OS, MS Office applications, and Google Suite.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Customer-centric approach.

• High level of adaptability.

• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated team player history.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events, including potential overnight travel.

• Availability to work some evening hours as needed to support families.

• Must be capable of using a personal electronic device and email for 2-step authentication.
