This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Deliver targeted course content within an online setting.
• Provide instruction, assistance, and guidance tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
• Ensure that special education and related services are delivered as outlined by the IEP team.
• Communicate effectively with parents and related service personnel regarding student therapies.
• Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and necessary special education documentation.
• Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings, including annual IEP sessions.
• Implement accommodations and modifications utilizing assistive technology, supplemental curriculums, and accessible texts.
• Adjust Stride K12 lessons and assessments in accordance with IEP specifications.
• Promote student inclusion and achievement in the general education classroom.
• Collect data and work samples to assess progress towards IEP objectives.
• Document parent communications and student interventions.
• Analyze student data to recommend remediation and enrichment strategies.
• Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities.
• Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion, notifying administrators of performance issues.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families and ensure timely communication with students and learning coaches or parents.
• Assist learning coaches and parents with instructional, curricular, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers to analyze student data and enhance instructional strategies.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• An active teaching license for the state of Oklahoma is necessary.
• Oklahoma Special Education Teaching Certification is required.
• Ability to pass a mandatory background check.
• Candidates must reside in Oklahoma.
• 0–1 year of relevant professional experience is preferable.
• Must be capable of working independently, typically 40+ hours each week.
• Must maintain a distraction-free professional home office during work hours.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time is required.
• Ability to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data.
• Capacity to leverage student data for instructional decision-making.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and educational platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Math certification in addition to Special Education certification is preferred.
• A secondary high school endorsement along with Mild/Moderate certification is preferred.
• Experience with the specified age group is desired.
• Experience in supporting both adults and children in technology usage is preferred.
• Teaching experience in online or traditional settings is desired.
• Familiarity with an online learning platform is preferred.
