High-Performance Storage Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Deploy, oversee, and validate High-Performance Storage infrastructure within AI Factory Linux-based environments.

• Serve as the subject matter expert during customer planning discussions and throughout the implementation stages.

• Create and transfer documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and customer support.

• Provide insights to internal teams by reporting bugs, documenting workarounds, and recommending enhancements.

• Contribute to the creation of some of the largest and fastest AI Factories globally.

• Engage with academic, commercial, and government entities worldwide as a member of a customer-oriented infrastructure team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience delivering comprehensive support, deployment, and validation services for hardware and software storage products.

• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with storage concepts and technologies, including SDS, NFS, S3, NVMeoF, Lustre, GPFS, and RDMA (RoCEv2/InfiniBand).

• Familiarity with storage benchmarking tools such as FIO, IO500, IOR, HPL, NCCL tests, and MLPerf storage.

• Proficiency in Linux system administration, performance reporting/optimization/logging, and advanced networking including network routing and monitoring.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ansible, and similar languages.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to resolve customer issues as they emerge.

• Strong organizational abilities, with a knack for prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations within the region up to 20% of the time.

• Experience with parallel and distributed filesystem products such as Ceph, Weka.io, Vast, DDN, etc.

• Expertise in optimizing storage performance for AI training, checkpointing, inference, or large-scale data processing pipelines.

• Solid background in networking technologies: Spectrum-X Ethernet, InfiniBand, NVLink Switch fabric.
