Heavy Equipment Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Perform daily inspections of machinery, including checking fluids, wear parts, tires, glass, and overall equipment condition.

• Promptly report any equipment issues and necessary maintenance.

• Operate assigned heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

• Adjust operations according to varying traffic, soil, and weather conditions.

• Employ GPS systems for equipment operation and grade control.

• Interpret grade stakes and hubs for effective grade control and finishing.

• Manage materials effectively throughout excavation, loading, placement, grading, and utility installation processes.

• Provide labor support and assist the crew as required.

• Travel regularly to project sites across multiple states in accordance with business needs and project timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be prepared to labor and support the crew.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operating heavy earthmoving equipment (motor grader, scraper, dozer, excavator).

• At least 1 year of experience operating industry-specific related equipment.

• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees, clients, contractors, and vendors at all levels.

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test is required prior to the start date.

• Willingness to travel continuously to project sites throughout the central United States.

• Flexibility to remain at a single project location for several months before moving to another state.
