This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Address patient inquiries via chat, email, and internal messaging platforms.
• Convey information regarding billing, CPT codes, coverage, device returns, and similar topics in language that is accessible to patients.
• Maintain a tone that is supportive, empowering, and solution-focused.
• Proactively follow up until all issues are completely resolved.
• Document all interactions with clarity and accuracy.
• Adhere to established workflows for benefit checks, escalations, and provider-office boundaries.
• Ensure that the information shared with patients aligns with Salvo's policies and updated procedures.
• Troubleshoot application, onboarding, and device setup issues prior to escalation.
• Identify recurring problems and bring them to the attention of leadership.
• Adapt to new tools, workflows, and process changes as they arise.
• Monitor Slack for team mentions and respond promptly when not engaged in calls.
• Collaborate with the Engagement team for seamless transitions and consistent messaging.
• Assist colleagues by sharing insights and answering their queries.
• Attend meetings and training sessions well-prepared and camera-ready.
• Take ownership of the support queue, follow-ups, and ensure accuracy.
• Seek clarification and ask questions whenever uncertain.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare billing, health insurance support, or a related patient-facing support role.
• At least 3 years of experience simplifying complex topics such as billing, CPT codes, coverage, and device returns into explanations that are easy for patients to understand.
• Strong technical skills with the capability to navigate various systems, tools, and platforms simultaneously.
• Experience in conducting patient or customer conversations while simultaneously documenting and troubleshooting.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance terminology, benefits, claims, CPT codes, and coverage workflows.
• Ability to remain seated at a workstation for extended periods while using a computer and headset to assist patients.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with a knack for simplifying complex information.
• Proven track record of managing confidential and sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with changing processes and expectations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, follow-ups, and communication with patients.
• Goal-oriented mindset focused on delivering top-notch support and achieving performance goals.
• Remote work experience is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are a plus.
