This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Inspire, lead, organize, and oversee both tactical and strategic initiatives.
• Manage the sales of the organization's products and services.
• Take ownership of district revenue and forecasting.
• Anticipate customer demand, including product quantities, revenue, orders, and shipments.
• Ensure the sales team meets forecasts and adheres to company guidelines, practices, and policies.
• Provide development plans to address underperformance.
• Guarantee full utilization, updates, and compliance of Salesforce.com and other documentation tools.
• Create, implement, and track the district business plan to meet the assigned budget.
• Recruit, develop, retain, and manage the district sales team.
• Direct, support, and motivate the district sales team to achieve targets and objectives.
• Ensure that Illumina's commitment to customer satisfaction is upheld and continuously improved.
• Coordinate or supervise training related to technical, sales, and administrative functions.
• Ensure all staff adhere to Illumina's core values.
• Monitor, assist, set standards, and assess the performance of the district sales team using performance management tools.
• Establish territory quotas while accomplishing quarterly and annual sales and profit objectives.
• Forecast, track, and manage district selling and other expenses within allocated budgets.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Solutions, and local sales teams to synchronize activities and align goals.
• Must reside within the Central territory: Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, or Virginia.
• Proven success with Hospital and Healthcare Systems products and application sales.
• Minimum of 8+ years of sales experience in Clinical Diagnostics, Hospital/Healthcare, and Life Sciences industries.
• At least 1–3 years of sales management experience in Clinical Diagnostics, Hospital/Healthcare, and Life Sciences sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of genetics, genomics, and molecular pathology.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.
• In-depth knowledge of the local clinical testing and genomics landscape.
• Sales experience in capital equipment, clinical diagnostics, and molecular diagnostics.
• Capacity to engage with both external and internal stakeholders at a high level.
• Proficient in communicating and influencing both internal and external audiences through strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must not require visa sponsorship.
• Must successfully complete a background check after a conditional offer, where applicable.
• Generative AI may not be utilized in the application and interview processes.
