This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design, assess, and enhance research surveys for both physicians and patients.
• Convert research goals into well-defined, methodologically robust questionnaires.
• Analyze survey methodologies, participant experiences, question phrasing, response options, survey progression, instrument organization, order effects, measurement biases, recall demands, and respondent workload.
• Review screening tools, eligibility standards, branching logic, skip logic, specialty screening, respondent qualifications, patient volume, and treatment behavior criteria.
• Evaluate questionnaires intended for physicians, specialists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Analyze research related to prescribing behaviors, treatment pathways, clinical decision-making, diagnoses, symptoms, treatment experiences, adherence, quality of life, and patient journeys.
• Leverage insights from pharmaceutical primary market research and commercial knowledge in the development of surveys.
• Collaborate with clinical and therapeutic area experts, incorporating both methodological and clinical feedback.
• Identify clinical assumptions that require expert review.
• Determine whether the surveys yield reliable, interpretable, and actionable data.
• Deliver clear written explanations of methodological issues and suggest practical modifications.
• Contribute to research efforts in oncology, gastroenterology, neurology, pulmonology, and respiratory medicine.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or medically-oriented research.
• Practical experience in designing, programming, conducting, reviewing, or consulting on surveys for physicians, patients, healthcare professionals, or other healthcare stakeholders.
• Comprehensive understanding of questionnaire development and survey methodologies.
• Valuable experience with physician research related to specialty screening, prescribing trends, treatment pathways, or treatment behaviors.
• Relevant experience in patient research covering diagnosis, symptoms, treatment experiences, adherence, quality of life, or patient journeys.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical market research, commercial insights, or medical affairs research.
• Therapeutic area expertise in oncology, gastroenterology, neurology, pulmonology, or respiratory medicine is highly regarded.
• Experience with tools such as Qualtrics, Decipher/Forsta, Alchemer, SurveyMonkey, or similar survey platforms is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to provide precise methodological insights.
• Candidates who can assess both survey methodology and therapeutic-area content are particularly valued.
• All work must be conducted without accessing confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or third party.
