Health Specialist, RN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive verbal and written clinical inquiry responses to consumers, educators, medical and health professionals, as well as state and local health departments and government entities.

• Offer medical subject matter expertise on CDC-INFO topics such as HIV/AIDS, immunizations, environmental health, NIOSH, tuberculosis, and relevant statistics.

• Address inquiries concerning current events, which may include food outbreaks, natural disasters, bioterrorism, first responders, and national emergency situations.

• Conduct advanced database searches.

• Execute assigned tasks in alignment with quality assurance protocols.

• Create documents, reports, and correspondence as needed.

• Record all incoming inquiries for tracking purposes.

• Engage in special projects as necessary.

• Communicate with medical personnel and clinicians in both verbal and written formats.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a current RN license are mandatory.

• Background in medical, scientific, and public health disciplines is essential.

• Clinical knowledge and experience with CDC-related topics are required.

• Strong internet search proficiency is necessary.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use various software applications.

• Outstanding listening, comprehension, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

• Capability to work independently while communicating effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Must be available for an 8-hour shift between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm EST, Monday to Friday.

• Current and permanent residency in the Continental US is required.

• Must utilize a personal computer or laptop; Chromebooks, tablets, and notebooks are not acceptable.

• Operating systems must be Windows 10 or 11 (Windows 11 preferred), or Mac Big Sur 11.0.1+, Catalina 10.15, or Monterey 12.3.

• Internet speed should be 25 Mbps or higher, or 50 Mbps for shared internet connections.

• Minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps is essential.

• Internet connection must be established via Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router.

• A private and secure workspace along with an adequate power source is necessary.

• A smartphone is required for logging into Maximus systems.

• A webcam must be available for training and occasional internal meetings.
