Head of Venture Studio

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Acquire and take full ownership of the group's operating system, systems, ventures, and stage gates.

• Ensure every venture meets M0/M1/M2 progression standards and strive for continuous system improvement.

• Manage the progression of Venture 001 and Venture 002 from readiness to launch while planning for Venture 003.

• Make autonomous decisions regarding the sequencing and prioritization of various ventures.

• Ensure timely and systematic launches, reporting signals, risks, and obstacles promptly.

• Recruit and onboard Venture CEOs or EIRs for both current and future projects.

• Develop the attraction kit and compensation structure for top-tier talent.

• Facilitate annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly operational rhythms.

• Oversee execution in ClickUp or a similar platform along with management calendars.

• Guarantee that ventures have a necessary digital presence for their launch.

• Collaborate with the Head of People to evaluate hiring needs across the portfolio.

• Prioritize AI agents over headcount and establish the AI operational framework.

• Assemble lean, high-caliber teams as warranted by portfolio demands.

• Aim for consistent portfolio execution targeting approximately ten active ventures by the end of 2027.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in startup operations, venture building, general management, or a similar operational role, preferably across multiple organizations.

• Direct, hands-on experience in taking at least one company from inception to launch.

• Proficient understanding of AI tools and agentic workflows, utilizing them to streamline team-based tasks.

• Experience in designing or managing structured processes to mitigate risks, such as stage gates or funnel management.

• Proven ability to oversee multiple workstreams, products, or business lines concurrently without a large team.

• Experience reporting directly to a CEO or founder, demonstrating the ability to identify and escalate risks early.

• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to deliver clear and honest assessments of business health.

• Comfortable working as an independent contractor.

• Preferred: experience in a venture studio, startup holding company, private equity operating group, or multi-entity environment.

• Preferred: background in building or scaling a B2B SaaS company.

• Preferred: familiarity with structured venture-building frameworks and stage-gate methodologies.

• Preferred: knowledge of AI agent orchestration, automation platforms, or AI-native internal tools.

• Preferred: founder experience, including successful exits or operational interests at the portfolio level.
