Head of Product Management – Nurse Call Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Articulate and share a clear vision for the global Nurse Call portfolio spanning three to five years.

• Discover market opportunities, understand customer needs, and keep abreast of emerging trends in healthcare.

• Convert strategic priorities into investment choices, roadmap goals, and measurable outcomes for the portfolio.

• Manage global product discovery, requirements handling, prioritization, and governance of the roadmap.

• Weigh customer value, clinical impact, technical specifications, and commercial goals effectively.

• Cultivate trusted relationships with healthcare providers, care organizations, and industry stakeholders.

• Ensure that portfolio investments meet clinical needs and enhance patient safety, caregiver efficiency, and overall outcomes.

• Take ownership of portfolio growth, profitability, and the overall performance of the business.

• Create business cases and assist in making investment and pricing decisions.

• Track market trends, competitive shifts, customer adoption rates, and portfolio performance metrics.

• Guide products through their lifecycle from concept and launch to growth, maturity, and eventual retirement.

• Establish migration strategies between product generations and synchronize lifecycle decisions on a global scale.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a global Product Management team.

• Enhance product management capabilities and implement a modern operational model for products.

• Collaborate effectively with R&D, System Architecture, Marketing, Sales, Services, and regional organizations.

• Demonstrated senior leadership experience in product management within a complex technological landscape.

• Proven track record in developing product and portfolio strategies and translating them into successful business outcomes.

• Established ability to influence senior stakeholders across diverse functions and geographical areas.

• Strong commercial insight and financial acumen, particularly in portfolio growth, profitability, and developing business cases.

• Experience in managing product roadmaps, prioritization, requirements, and lifecycle decisions.

• Effective, credible communication skills and a collaborative, inclusive leadership approach.

• Capability to lead teams directly while also influencing beyond formal reporting structures.

• Advantageous experience in healthcare technology, Nurse Call systems, clinical communications, patient monitoring, medical devices, healthcare software, or related healthcare solutions.

• Experience managing portfolios that integrate hardware, software, services, and integrations is a plus.

• Background in regulated industries or clinical environments is beneficial.

• Successful operation within a global matrix organization is advantageous.

• Expertise in specific segments or solutions, or prior experience in business ownership or entrepreneurship is beneficial.

• A degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
