This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take charge of the media product portfolio spanning five publications.
• Establish a cohesive product menu, define product specifications, and outline the roadmap.
• Develop and execute the growth strategy for the portfolio.
• Create business cases for new products and extend the product menu to additional publications and markets.
• Revise or phase out underperforming products.
• Discover and cultivate new monetization avenues across content, audiences, data, and events.
• Investigate multimedia and newsletter formats, research and data products, memberships, licensing, lead products, event-driven packages, and affiliate-related opportunities.
• Assess, test, and analyze new revenue concepts leveraging data insights.
• Manage the deal desk, crafting bundles and cross-selling strategies.
• Evaluate non-standard offers, safeguard margins and capacity, and provide Sales with necessary collateral.
• Incorporate product, inventory, and cost considerations into pricing strategies.
• Oversee sell-through, rate realization, renewal processes, and product margins.
• Identify product lines that are over- or under-performing and establish performance priorities.
• Supervise and nurture the Media Products Delivery Lead.
• Ensure that sold products are deliverable while maintaining a clear distinction between commercial and editorial functions.
• Demonstrated experience in growing a commercial portfolio, media, content, or audience revenue line, with significant increases.
• At least five years of experience in commercial, media product, yield, or digital revenue positions.
• Preferably experience in B2B media, publishing, events, or a digital agency environment.
• Proficiency in margin management, cost of sales, discount impacts, sell-through rates, and yield.
• Ability to influence editorial, sales, marketing, design, and development teams without direct reporting lines.
• Comfortable with creating innovative products, first-year inventories, introductory pricing, and operating in data-scarce markets.
• Strong commitment to uphold editorial independence and credibility over immediate sales objectives.
• Capability to work with commercial, product, inventory, cost, and pricing frameworks.
• Manage a multi-million-euro media portfolio across various publications with the objective of growth.
• Genuine autonomy to innovate and introduce new revenue streams.
• Participate in strategic discussions regarding commercial strategy, collaborating closely with the Director and Commercial Director.
• Enjoy flexible working hours and a remote-friendly setup.
