Head of Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of uptime, resilience, and incident response strategies for all Aditude products and CPMStar’s SSP infrastructure.

• Lead the resolution of critical, high-severity infrastructure challenges across the company.

• Design, implement, and actively manage scalable infrastructure within Kubernetes and Docker environments.

• Manage infrastructure costs and capacity planning effectively.

• Identify and implement initiatives for cost optimization.

• Establish and enhance CI/CD standards and pipelines throughout the engineering organization.

• Promote automation in deployment and ensure reliable releases across all product lines.

• Advocate for Terraform practices related to infrastructure-as-code.

• Oversee the internal infrastructure and developer tools roadmap, focusing on observability, logging, and platform tooling.

• Assess and integrate tools that enhance engineering velocity and operational visibility.

• Manage network and system security, including Zero Trust architecture, access control, and OPA policy enforcement.

• Ensure compliance and security posture, preparing for SOC 2 readiness.

• Establish and enforce security standards for infrastructure, deployment, and third-party integrations.

• Mentor and develop the Senior Cloud Ops Engineer.

• Recruit, structure, and lead an expanded infrastructure team as the company grows.

• Collaborate with the CTO and product teams to align infrastructure investments with business objectives.

• Represent the infrastructure team in cross-functional planning and report on reliability, costs, and risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure/cloud operations.

• A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role.

• In-depth, hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and Docker.

• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code practices, particularly Terraform.

• Profound understanding of cloud infrastructure like AWS or GCP, including compute, storage, networking, and orchestration.

• Strong scripting and automation abilities in Go, Python, or TypeScript.

• Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch.

• Experience managing network and system security, including Zero Trust, network segmentation, access control, and compliance frameworks.

• Capability to work with AI coding agents such as Claude Code.

• Experience managing infrastructure costs and capacity on a large scale.

• Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills and experience in translating infrastructure trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders and leadership.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification is preferred.

• Experience with dedicated or bare-metal infrastructure is preferred.

• Background in securing or operating infrastructure for ad tech or programmatic SSP/DSP businesses is preferred.

• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar, ClickHouse, or other data streaming tools at scale is preferred.

• Knowledge of container security best practices and tools is preferred.

• Experience in establishing or scaling an infrastructure function from a small team is preferred.

• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
