This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design and execute the operational framework for fire installation and remedial services throughout Mears.
• Evaluate the capabilities of branches, contracts, and central operations, creating actionable plans to enhance delivery readiness.
• Discover, cultivate, and transform fire installation and remedial opportunities into actionable programs.
• Lead mobilization efforts, ensuring operational preparedness before the commencement of services.
• Establish standards for competency, accreditation, oversight, and quality assurance to ensure safe and consistent service delivery.
• Enhance workforce and supply chain capabilities to foster sustainable service growth.
• Provide leadership and supervision of operational delivery across branches, contracts, and centrally managed services.
• Integrate quality assurance procedures, evidence controls, reporting, and handover standards into operations.
• Manage financial performance, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, revenue, margin, and cost control.
• Cultivate relationships with clients, operational leaders, technical teams, and delivery partners.
• Promote continuous improvement in capability, mobilization, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent senior experience in fire installation, remedial works, construction, property services, or operational delivery.
• In-depth working knowledge of fire installation and remedial works, including passive fire, fire doors, fire stopping, or similar regulated activities.
• Extensive senior operational leadership experience in fire installation, remedial works, construction, property services, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to establish, mobilize, and expand an operational service.
• Experience with branch, regional, or multi-contract delivery models.
• Proven ability to assess organizational capabilities and create strategies to address operational deficiencies.
• Experience in translating client demand and pipeline opportunities into scoped, priced, and actionable programs.
• Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, revenue, and margin management.
• Experience managing direct labor teams and specialized subcontractors.
• Familiarity with competency, accreditation, supervision, and assurance requirements related to regulated construction activities.
• Experience in mobilizing and delivering multi-site programs.
• Ability to develop workforce, supervisory, and supply chain capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with a history of enhancing operational, quality, and commercial performance.
• Commercially oriented and results-driven.
• Capable of establishing structure and momentum in an evolving service.
• Respected by branch teams, clients, delivery partners, and senior leaders.
• Collaborative, pragmatic, and accountable.
• Full UK driving license.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK as necessary.
• Eligibility to work in the UK; Mears does not currently provide visa sponsorship.
• Successful completion of relevant background, identity, and security checks prior to starting.
• To drive a Mears vehicle: must be over 21 years old, have held a license for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 penalty points.
