This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Take ownership of the complete accounting operations for Filigran’s entities, which includes revenue recognition, consolidation, monthly and year-end closings, and the establishment of internal controls.
• Directly report to the VP of Finance.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and punctuality of financial transactions across various entities.
• Enhance the monthly and quarterly closing processes.
• Verify that revenue recognition is applied accurately and documented appropriately.
• Lead the consolidation efforts across the international entity framework, including the setup of new entities.
• Collaborate with the VP of Finance on transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and compliance with cross-border regulations.
• Conduct gap analyses of accounting processes and implement necessary internal controls and policies.
• Oversee the annual financial audit, serving as the primary contact for auditors.
• Manage the relationship with the external accounting firm.
• Identify opportunities to automate and optimize accounting workflows.
• Develop auditable and transferable accounting documentation.
• Act as a strategic partner to the VP of Finance regarding technical accounting and process design.
• Lead the current team of three general accountants and focus on team expansion.
• Assist with ad hoc finance requests, including payroll coordination.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting roles, including senior/lead or controller-level positions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of French accounting standards.
• Experience in multi-GAAP/consolidation environments is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to create processes and establish internal controls from the ground up in a rapidly growing or scaling setting.
• Comfortable working with a high level of autonomy and ambiguity; quick to adapt to change.
• Previous experience in managing teams.
