Head of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Provide both functional and technical leadership throughout Finance-related processes and initiatives.

• Establish, document, and consistently enhance finance methodologies, reporting standards, planning principles, and internal financial policies.

• Define the frameworks for management reporting and planning, including financial metrics, allocation principles, assumptions, and modeling logic.

• Determine financial and accounting treatments for complex or non-standard transactions while ensuring compliance with IFRS and relevant standards.

• Take ownership of the quality and integrity of financial and management reporting, period-end close, and consolidated results across various entities.

• Align accounting records, management reporting, forecasts, and operational data through principles of data ownership, validation, and reconciliation.

• Strengthen the financial control framework and guarantee audit readiness.

• Define scalable finance processes and lead initiatives for standardization, automation, and finance transformation.

• Manage finance requirements for ERP and other financial systems.

• Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and business modeling methodologies.

• Drive analysis of financial performance while identifying key drivers, trends, risks, and deviations from planning.

• Evaluate the financial impact of new products, business models, and strategic initiatives through scenario analysis and business cases.

• Collaborate with business, technology, legal, and tax stakeholders to incorporate financial considerations into business decision-making.

• Lead a team of finance professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive finance experience in a complex international organization, with significant ownership of financial reporting, planning, internal controls, and finance methodologies.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting principles.

• Solid understanding of management finance, financial planning, and financial modeling.

• Proven track record of developing and enhancing financial methodologies, processes, and standards.

• Strong grasp of management reporting, performance analysis, period-end close, consolidation, internal controls, and financial data flows.

• Experience working within a multi-entity international environment characterized by complex financial structures and flows.

• Strong analytical skills coupled with structured thinking.

• Familiarity with ERP systems, finance automation, and finance transformation initiatives.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• A strong ownership mindset with the capacity to independently lead complex Finance initiatives.

• Professional working proficiency in English.
