Head of Engineering, Sales & Marketing Tools

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take charge of engineering for MonieCRM, the internal workforce operations platform that supports Moniepoint’s extensive sales network of 50,000 members.

• Revamp and re-engineer rapidly evolving legacy systems.

• Enhance platform reliability and performance for over 20 million users.

• Ensure financial accuracy across wallets, commission calculations and attributions, cashouts, and welfare funds.

• Assist in partner management, rewards and retention efforts, as well as the marketing technology stack that includes Braze.

• Expand the sales and marketing platform across various markets.

• Empower commercial teams to operate more efficiently through reliable tools.

• Create a high-performing engineering organization supported by a strong team of managers and senior engineers.

• Guarantee that commissions and earnings are calculated, attributed, and disbursed accurately and punctually at network scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15 years of comprehensive software engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles during growth phases.

• Over 5 years of practical, production-level experience in writing and deploying Java code as an active engineer.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing managers.

• Demonstrated platform engineering expertise at scale, with a focus on building and maintaining complex distributed systems.

• Experience in managing legacy migrations and re-architecture initiatives at a user scale of 20 million or more.

• Strong backend engineering capabilities in high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems.

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot is essential.

• Experience in overseeing and developing large engineering teams comprising 20 or more members.

• A background in building systems where financial accuracy is critical is a significant advantage.

• Experience in fintech or payments is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with customer engagement or marketing automation platforms like Braze is beneficial, though not mandatory.
