This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Oversee the operations of the Cloud Engineering Competence Center.
• Provide both disciplinary and professional leadership to a Cloud Engineering team consisting of 7 members.
• Conduct coaching, performance evaluations, employee development, and HR reporting.
• Manage recruitment processes alongside strategic workforce, capacity, and resource planning.
• Cultivate a high-performing engineering culture that emphasizes strong service and customer focus.
• Collaborate with the Business Line to enhance the service and performance portfolio.
• Ensure effective knowledge and competence management within the team.
• Define, establish, and uphold professional and methodological standards as well as best practices.
• Encourage innovation and stay abreast of new technologies and market trends.
• Ensure adherence to Axians Somnitec AG’s normative, regulatory, and strategic requirements.
• Participate in budget planning, investment decisions, and the strategic advancement of the area of responsibility.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and promote organization-wide knowledge sharing.
• Address escalations that involve complex technical or organizational challenges.
• Continuously enhance processes, policies, and governance models.
• Actively engage in developing technical solutions and serve as a sparring partner on challenging projects.
• Ensure reliable operation, ongoing development, and innovation of customer platforms.
• Several years of leadership experience and hands-on expertise in an engineering or infrastructure setting.
• Industry experience in IT, preferably within a managed services environment.
• Completed higher-level professional education (HF/FH) in computer science or a comparable qualification.
• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary cloud, platform, and infrastructure services.
• Proven experience in leading and developing technical teams and specialist roles.
• Experience in knowledge, competence, and talent management is considered a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in managing technical specialists.
• Strong inclination towards standardization, quality management, and automation.
• Analytical, organized, and solution-focused work approach.
• Proficient in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Open-minded, strategic, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Demonstrated accountability and a reliable capability to build trust.
