This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee senior management and provide technical leadership for the ongoing management and enhancement of a client's enterprise-wide Hazardous Materials and Regulated Waste database.
• Mentor existing HazTrax staff and facilitate knowledge transfer to the HazTrax team.
• Offer leadership assistance in addressing urgent HazTrax system challenges.
• Review and refresh HazTrax guidance and training materials.
• Aid in the transition and comprehensive rollout of HazTrax mobile scanners, encompassing testing, validation, deployment strategies, and training.
• Regularly collaborate with external clients to implement and carry out the agreed-upon work statement.
• Report on activities and progress concerning the work statement as instructed.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve effective database management outcomes.
• Coordinate with the Apex client relationship manager to ensure the completion of the work statement within budgetary constraints.
• Provide insights on potential new Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) projects resulting from the execution of the work statement.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Over 3 years of pertinent experience.
• Experience in managing hazardous materials and regulated waste databases.
• Understanding of hazardous materials accountability, tracking, storage, inventory, and point-of-use consumption.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste tracking processes.
• Familiarity with Electronic Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Inventory and Hazard Communication (HazCom) Compliance.
• Understanding of Gatekeeping (BENCh) and Material Authorized Use Lists.
• Familiarity with Procurement and Ariba Interface.
• Knowledge of receiving, tracking, quality assurance receiving and inspection, TATS monitoring, and material traceability.
• Familiarity with repackaging, labeling, GHS labeling, hazard warnings, warehousing, and floor inventory management.
• Experience with hazardous waste inspections and management of dated waste drums.
• Understanding of TSCA export control flags.
• Familiarity with SSARA and chemical facility anti-terrorism regulations.
• Knowledge of EPA regulatory compliance reporting, including SARA 311, 312, 313, and GHG regulations.
• Familiarity with jurisdictional permitting, NESHAPs, and air and building permitting requirements.
• Understanding of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act and 40 CFR 372.
• Basic technical knowledge in Industrial Hygiene is preferred.
