This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Conduct audits of halal food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic facilities, as well as supply chains and associated processes.
β’ Review documentation, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with halal certification standards.
β’ Evaluate halal management systems and pinpoint areas that could benefit from enhancements.
β’ Create comprehensive audit reports detailing non-conformities, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions.
β’ Relay audit findings to clients and offer guidance on compliance matters.
β’ Deliver technical support and advice for the implementation and enhancement of halal systems.
β’ Confirm the effective execution of corrective actions.
β’ Ensure that certified organizations consistently comply with relevant standards.
β’ Engage in training and ongoing professional development.
β’ Collaborate with fellow auditors, technical managers, and decision-makers in the certification process.
β’ Aid in the development and refinement of audit protocols and certification procedures.
β’ Travel to both domestic and international client locations for on-site audits.
β’ Applications are only accepted from candidates residing in the United States.
β’ A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
β’ Additional certifications in halal auditing (such as lead auditor, FSSC 22000, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
β’ Prior experience as a halal and/or food quality auditor or in the implementation of halal and/or food safety management systems.
β’ Thorough understanding of halal, halal dietary laws, and halal production standards.
β’ Familiarity with halal and food safety regulations, including GSO, OIC/SMIIC, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC, and FSSC 22000.
β’ Knowledge of halal production processes, supply chain management, and regulatory mandates.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
β’ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.
β’ Detail-oriented with the capacity to work independently.
β’ Proficient in report writing and documentation practices.
β’ Ethical and unbiased, committed to upholding the integrity of the certification process.
β’ Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
β’ Capability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
β’ Willingness to travel frequently to client sites, including remote or rural areas.
