Gulf Region Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee Power Distribution sales for the Southern region (OK, NM & TX)

• Build and sustain relationships with Investor-Owned Utilities, public power organizations, channel partners, and power distribution sales representatives

• Achieve annual sales and profitability objectives

• Provide support to Prysmian sales teams including Network Components, Alesea, EOSS, and Specialty

• Oversee sales activities, customer forecasts, contracts, inventory, business reviews, new technology sales, and results delivery

• Evaluate trends in the utility industry, competitive environment, and upcoming technologies

• Relay market insights to Product Management and Sales Leadership

• Formulate and implement territory sales and profitability strategies

• Identify and pursue new prospects

• Enhance cable sales within current accounts

• Engage in regional and national conferences and trade exhibitions as necessary

• Foster relationships with customer stakeholders across the supply chain, engineering, project management, operations, warehousing, and construction management

• Direct contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and proposal creation

• Conduct business reviews with contractual customers and strategic channel partners

• Oversee customer forecasting and track forecast precision

• Collaborate with applications engineering, product management, inside sales, accounts receivable, and R&D

• Act as the Voice of the Customer in internal discussions

• Monitor sales metrics, customer insights, and market performance

• Coordinate the resolution of customer concerns

• Inspire and guide sales agencies through coaching, accountability, and cooperative business planning to meet revenue and market share goals

• Report to the Director of Sales – South


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred

• A minimum of 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally with electrical utilities, utility product manufacturers, or utility distributors

• Required technical sales experience

• Willingness to travel up to 50%, as determined by the Director of Sales

• Must be located within the designated territory and within 60 miles of an airport

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong knowledge of the electrical transmission and distribution sector, particularly wire and cable

• Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities

• Proficient analytical and strategic thinking skills

• Proven history of achieving or surpassing sales targets

• Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and PDF

• Capacity to build and sustain strong customer relationships

• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various time zones
