This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee all incoming inquiries related to groups, weddings, social events, and buyouts.
• Assess leads based on availability, seasonal trends, operational feasibility, and alignment with strategic goals.
• Create customized proposals and itineraries to meet specific client needs.
• Facilitate sales discussions, including negotiation and contract finalization.
• Address inbound RFPs and sales inquiries through relevant platforms and communication channels.
• Monitor inquiry metrics such as volume, response times, conversion rates, and revenue outcomes.
• Assist in shaping group sales strategies, pricing structures, minimum stay policies, and sales guidelines.
• Identify chances for repeat group business and referrals.
• Represent Fogo Island Inn during sales calls, client meetings, trade shows, and familiarization visits as needed.
• Conduct formal sales transitions for confirmed group bookings, documenting terms, pricing, concessions, group goals, and commercial considerations in Salesforce.
• Hold structured handoff meetings with the Group & Events Manager.
• Manage reservation processes for groups that book and pay individually.
• Conduct site inspections and sales-led tours for potential group clients.
• Remain available after handoff for any commercial or contractual inquiries and future business development.
• Assist with post-event follow-up to secure future bookings and repeat business, recording commercial insights and opportunities in CRM.
• Collaborate on forecasting, pacing, and pipeline reporting.
• Track group deposits, payment timelines, and contractual milestones alongside Finance and Reservations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in group, catering, or events sales in a luxury hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
• Proven success in converting inquiries into confirmed contracts.
• Experience in crafting customized proposals, negotiating contracts, and implementing pricing strategies.
• Familiarity with CRM/sales platforms; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the sales cycles for groups, weddings, social events, and buyouts, including seasonal and operational constraints specific to a small luxury property.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities with high-value clients.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities while ensuring outstanding organization, accuracy, and responsiveness.
• A valid Canadian driver's license is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Starting salary ranging from $60K to $70K.
