This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide credentialed veterinary technician and assistant teams across various hospitals.

• Ensure the consistent provision of high-quality medical care while enhancing patient safety.

• Enhance the client experience and positively influence patient outcomes.

• Improve associate retention rates and drive the performance of the hospital.

• Cultivate top talent and optimize clinical workflows.

• Implement and maintain current medical standards and best practices in patient care.

• Educate and mentor hospital teams on advanced medical practices, effective client communication, and safety protocols.

• Review medical records and hospital processes to ensure case management and ethical standards are met.

• Assess and provide recommendations on medical equipment needs and strategies.

• Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and psychologically safe workplace environment.

• Represent the needs and perspectives of Patient Care Associates in group-level discussions.

• Collaborate with field leadership to drive initiatives, manage resources, and integrate new hospitals.

• Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and retention of veterinary technicians and assistants.

• Develop and support training programs for Patient Care Associates.

• Advocate for Veterinary Technology as a career path and VCA as a place for professional growth.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• At least 6 years of experience as a credentialed veterinary technician or in veterinary nursing.

• A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.

• Required experience in adult learning, presenting, or public speaking.

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program.

• Active license in good standing.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent effectively.

• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time to various VCA hospitals and support offices.
