This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report directly to the Executive Creative Director
• Oversee the creative direction for Class Launches, campaigns, and product debuts
• Drive the creative vision and strategy for campaigns, products, and marketing communications
• Write, define, and advocate for the tone and voice of marketing copy across various channels
• Personally produce and shape copy, design, and creative outputs
• Collaborate with teams from brand, performance marketing, enterprise, and product
• Develop and mentor copywriters, designers, and art directors
• Provide creative direction and oversight in areas such as copy, art direction, design, video, animation, and other disciplines
• Deliver engaging, on-brand messages across all touchpoints
• Stay ahead of industry trends and explore innovative ways to narrate MasterClass's story
• Progress into a formal leadership role, guiding copywriters, designers, animators, editors, photographers, and art directors
• Over 10 years of experience in creative roles, primarily focusing on producing exceptional work for global brands
• Demonstrated ability to create original creative concepts that yield significant business impact
• Proven track record in identifying the strongest ideas and advancing the work further
• Comfortable with personally producing copy and design work; adaptable across various disciplines
• Capability to translate strategic goals into creative concepts that resonate, with a grasp of creative performance and conversion
• Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Performance Marketing
• Established experience leading creative teams in advertising, product, content, and creative strategy workstreams
• Exceptional writing abilities and a talent for crafting compelling narratives across different forms and mediums
• A portfolio that showcases award-winning work and challenges creative boundaries
• Experience directing copy, art direction, design, video, animation, and other creative fields
• Expertise in developing conceptual and strategically-led campaigns
• Background in both agency and in-house settings
• Ability to prioritize effectively and perform well under pressure while maintaining speed and high attention to detail
• Strong operational mindset and vision for the team
• Capability to provide and receive constructive feedback across creative disciplines
• Excellent presentation skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Experience in developing and maintaining brand voice and tone guidelines
• Knowledge and understanding of performance marketing and its interplay with creative strategy
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Versatility in writing styles and tones, ranging from short-form brand advertising and performance copy to longer-form editorial content
