This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Review, localize, fact-check, translate, and adapt content related to sports, primarily football, while following established writing style guides and protocols.

• Conduct research specific to the market regarding local content, product and terminology trends, as well as best practices for localization aimed at the target audience.

• Offer constructive feedback on written materials.

• Execute quality control for English (US) to Hebrew audiovisual content.

• Achieve a targeted weighted output of 2,000 to 5,000 words per week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in the linguistic field, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing.

• In-depth knowledge of sports, particularly football.

• Experience in the translation and localization of multimedia content, ideally including machine translations and evaluations.

• Native-level proficiency in the target language.

• Exceptional grammar and writing capabilities in the native language.

• Strong skills in creative writing, proofreading, and editing in the native language.

• Solid practical understanding of computers and mobile devices, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.

• Possession of a licensed version of MS Office applications.

• Ability to work autonomously and remotely.

• Assessment of grammar and subject matter expertise knowledge.
