German Sports Localization Specialist – Football

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Review, localize, fact-check, translate, and adapt content related to sports, primarily focusing on football, while following established writing style guides and protocols.

• Conduct market-specific research on local content, product and terminology trends, and optimal localization practices for the intended audience.

• Provide constructive feedback on written materials.

• Manage quality control tasks for audiovisual content.

• Achieve a targeted workload of 2,000 to 5,000 words per week.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS/BA degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in the linguistic field, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing.

• In-depth knowledge of sports, with a strong emphasis on football.

• Experience in translating and localizing multimedia content, ideally including machine translations and evaluations.

• Native-level proficiency in the target language.

• Exceptional grammar and writing abilities in the native language.

• Strong creative writing, proofreading, and editing skills in the native language.

• Tech-savvy with solid practical experience using computers, mobile devices, word processors, and spreadsheets.

• Must possess a licensed version of MS Office applications.

• Ability to work independently and remotely.

• Language pair: English (US) to Hebrew.

• Assessment will include grammar and subject matter expertise knowledge.
