This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Act as the primary visual design resource for the organization.
• Develop high-quality communications for patients, employees, and the organization as a whole.
• Create both print and digital materials, including educational resources for patients, brochures, rack cards, flyers, posters, facility signage, event materials, presentation templates, recruitment marketing content, internal communication assets, and digital graphics.
• Convert complex healthcare and organizational information into visually appealing and easy-to-understand communications.
• Ensure that designs adhere to accessibility, readability, and brand standards.
• Support campaigns across the system, service line marketing efforts, executive communications, and community engagement initiatives.
• Act as the main steward of SEARHC's visual identity.
• Maintain and enhance visual brand guidelines.
• Review and provide guidance on branded materials produced by various departments within the consortium.
• Ensure the consistent use of logos, typography, photography, color palettes, iconography, and design standards.
• Suggest updates to brand standards as the organization's needs change.
• Develop, update, and manage a comprehensive library of branded templates.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess needs and enhance template usability.
• Establish quality control measures for current, accessible, on-brand templates.
• Organize and oversee the department's digital asset library.
• Create naming conventions, folder structures, and governance standards.
• Ensure logos, design files, icons, and templates are stored properly and are easily accessible.
• Maintain version control and phase out outdated assets.
• Provide design guidance, coaching, and support to employees producing branded materials.
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, HR, clinical teams, operations, and leadership.
• Assist in developing a self-service design ecosystem.
• Support print procurement and vendor coordination as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• A demonstrated portfolio showcasing work in print, digital, and brand identity.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Over 3 years of professional graphic design experience.
• Experience in managing brand standards or design systems.
• Experience in creating enterprise-wide template libraries.
• Familiarity with Canva Enterprise and Monday.com.
• Background in healthcare, nonprofit, tribal, government, or mission-driven organizations.
• Strong knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Awareness of accessibility best practices for both print and digital communications.
• Understanding of design's role in supporting communication, engagement, and organizational goals.
• Excellent organizational and file management capabilities.
• Strong visual design and creative problem-solving abilities.
