Grant Writing Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support fundraising initiatives, which includes researching crowdfunding opportunities, conducting outreach, preparing campaign materials, and engaging with donors.

• Assist in researching and writing grant proposals.

• Perform research on effective fundraising strategies, donor behaviors, and potential funding opportunities.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Business Development, Director of Outreach and Partnerships, COO, and CEO.

• Manage some tasks independently and efficiently allocate time to meet deadlines.

• Coordinate remotely through platforms such as Zoom and Slack.

• Participate in weekly organization-wide meetings.

• Attend weekly meetings for the Business Development Department.

• Commit to the role at least until the end of the Fall semester (December 5, 2026).

⛳️ Requirements

• A keen interest in nonprofit management or fundraising, or actively pursuing a degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.

• Ability to communicate responsively, consistently, and effectively, even in challenging situations.

• Capability to work independently and remotely according to a personal schedule while adhering to deadlines.

• Proficiency in Google Workspace is required.

• Previous experience in data management is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills are necessary.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

• Availability to attend weekly organization-wide meetings.

• Availability to attend weekly Business Development Department meetings.

• Must be authorized to intern in the United States.

• Commitment to the role until at least the end of the Fall semester, December 5, 2026.
