This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Take ownership of the worldwide Data Center vertical strategy, encompassing market sizing, segmentation, prioritization, and a multi-year roadmap.
• Formulate and implement the annual strategic business plan aimed at revenue, gross margin, and market share growth across North America, Europe, and Asia.
• Conduct analysis of target markets, including hyperscale, colocation, EPC and MEP contractors, and manufacturers of racks, enclosures, power distribution, busway, and liquid cooling solutions.
• Transform industry signals such as AI-driven capacity growth, adoption of liquid cooling, modular construction, and shifts in the supply chain into actionable commercial strategies.
• Act as the global authority on engineered fastening applications within data center settings.
• Identify gaps in technology and opportunities for innovation specific to the vertical.
• Convert application insights into prospective solutions and advance the innovation pipeline.
• Spearhead demand generation strategies and execute go-to-market initiatives across various regions.
• Establish global account targeting strategies and collaborate with regional sales leaders on account plans, specification strategies, and named pursuits.
• Oversee vertical content, technical materials, application case studies, and campaign development in partnership with marketing.
• Manage pipeline, revenue, gross margin, and funnel conversion while implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting schedules to assess vertical success and guide resource allocation.
• Align and influence regional sales, product management, engineering, operations, marketing, and finance teams across three regions.
• Lead and nurture vertical resources, including direct and dotted-line team members across regions.
• Customize the global framework to fit regional customer structures, purchasing behaviors, construction practices, and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
• At least 8–10 years of experience in marketing, sales, product management, or business development within industrial, engineered products, or construction-adjacent sectors.
• Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of the data center market, including customer behavior, buying cycles, delivery models, and technical requirements.
• Prior experience in the hyperscale, colocation, or data center construction ecosystems is preferred.
• Direct experience with engineered fastening applications and fastening-specific or assembly automation.
• Proven success in developing a growth strategy from market analysis to a executed commercial plan, owning revenue and margin results.
• Demonstrated ability to influence within a global matrix across multiple regions and cultures.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to operate across US, EU, and Asia time zones.
• Occasional domestic and international travel (10–20%) required.
• Familiarity with liquid cooling, power distribution, busway, cable containment, or modular and prefabricated data center construction is preferred.
• Experience in launching a vertical or new market segment from the ground up is favored.
• An MBA or equivalent commercial qualification is preferred.
• Proficiency in a regional language relevant to Europe or Asia is preferred.
