This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Implement Aqua Expeditions’ Global Training & Development strategy throughout operations.
• Identify operational capability gaps through observation, interviews, performance data, and direct engagement with employees and leaders.
• Create, modify, and deliver practical training programs that align with Aqua service standards, SOPs, expected behaviors, and business priorities.
• Provide hands-on, on-the-job, and onboard training across Aqua Expeditions’ operations.
• Lead and facilitate onboarding, operational induction, cross-training, refresher training, and continuous learning initiatives.
• Mentor crew members, supervisors, and operational leaders on performance, feedback, team leadership, and people-development skills.
• Develop structured development plans and identify high-potential employees as well as those prepared for broader responsibilities.
• Assist in succession planning by maintaining oversight of internal talent, development progress, readiness, and capability gaps.
• Nurture and support internal trainers and subject-matter experts.
• Contribute to Aqua Lab and other practical learning platforms and initiatives.
• Monitor training and development initiatives to assess behavioral application, operational enhancement, and progress towards objectives.
• Keep records, evidence, and dashboards that encompass training, participation, development plans, talent observations, and outcomes.
• Provide structured field feedback and recommendations to Global People & Culture and operational leadership.
• Coordinate with external training providers as necessary.
• Create an annual Training & Development plan that aligns with operational priorities and regional requirements.
• Demonstrate training effectiveness through observable behavior and performance improvements.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in Training, Learning & Development, Talent Development, operational coaching, or a related area.
• Experience in luxury hospitality, cruise, travel, or premium service operations is highly preferred.
• Capacity to work remotely while ensuring excellent communication and alignment with global teams across varying time zones.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is advantageous.
• Knowledge of French is appreciated.
