This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Implement Aqua Expeditions’ Global Training & Development strategy throughout operations.
• Assess operational capability gaps through observation, interviews, performance data, and direct engagement with employees and leadership.
• Develop, customize, and deliver practical training programs that align with service standards, SOPs, expected behaviors, and business priorities.
• Provide hands-on, on-the-job, and onboard training across various operations.
• Lead and facilitate onboarding, operational induction, cross-training, refresher training, and continuous learning initiatives.
• Mentor crew members, supervisors, and operational leaders on performance, feedback, team leadership, and people development.
• Create development plans for identified employees, encompassing training, coaching, stretch assignments, cross-exposure, and internal mobility.
• Identify high-potential employees and those ready for expanded responsibilities.
• Aid in succession planning and keep track of internal talent, development progress, readiness, and capability gaps.
• Cultivate and support internal trainers and subject-matter experts.
• Assist Aqua Lab and other practical learning platforms and initiatives.
• Monitor training and development actions to ensure behavioral application, operational enhancements, and progress towards objectives.
• Maintain precise records, evidence, and dashboards related to training, participation, development plans, talent observations, and outcomes.
• Provide field feedback and recommendations to Global People & Culture and operational leadership.
• Coordinate with external training providers as necessary.
• Execute other Training & Development responsibilities as appropriate for the role.
• A university degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in Training, Learning & Development, Talent Development, operational coaching, or a similar field.
• Experience in luxury hospitality, cruise, travel, or premium service operations is highly preferred.
• Ability to work remotely while ensuring excellent communication and alignment with global teams across various time zones.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is advantageous.
• Knowledge of French is appreciated.
