Global Trade Compliance Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Global Trade team on tasks and projects related to customs and compliance.

• Assist in the preparation of export invoices.

• Support the implementation of global procedures for imports and exports.

• Work alongside other departments to ensure documentation adheres to U.S. Customs regulations, including Country of Origin certificates and HTSUS codes.

• Accurately enter information into SAP when necessary.

• Aid in the Post Entry Audit process and the reconciliation of entries.

• Assist with duty drawback procedures.

• Maintain reporting in compliance with ACS reconciliation.

• Collaborate with brokers, agents, and other third parties to address issues and clarify inquiries.

• Assist in the development of additional reporting for costing or reconciliations.

• Participate in meetings with the Global Compliance Trade team.

• Aid in ensuring the accuracy of product marking.

⛳️ Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Capable of utilizing professional concepts and applying company policies/procedures to address moderate scope problems/issues.

• Able to analyze situations or data that require consideration of various factors.

• Capable of exercising judgment within established procedures and practices.

• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Good written and verbal communication abilities.

• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
