Global Specialist, Regulatory Affairs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Perform regulatory compliance assessments for raw materials utilized in flavors, food ingredients, and associated products.

• Acquire, examine, and evaluate documentation from suppliers to ascertain the compliance and approval status of ingredients.

• Analyze regulatory, scientific, and technical data in relation to global regulations, customer specifications, and internal policies.

• Provide regulatory guidance to R&D, Creative, Quality Assurance, Production, and other departments.

• Identify potential compliance risks and offer recommendations for their resolution.

• Maintain accurate records of regulatory approvals and supporting documentation.

• Assist in the assessment and integration of new raw materials into the company's portfolio.

• Handle multiple compliance evaluations while adhering to project schedules and business priorities.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.

• At least 4 years of experience in regulatory compliance in the food, flavor, ingredient, chemical, or similar sectors.

• Experience in reviewing supplier documentation and evaluating raw material compliance.

• Familiarity with regulations concerning food ingredients, flavors, and raw materials.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory data.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.

• Experience in the flavor and fragrance sector.

• Knowledge of global regulations regarding food ingredients and flavors.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
