This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan, +1 more state.
• Engage in conversations and foster relationships with prominent international food corporations, particularly those based in Asia.
• Encourage multinational food companies to adopt 100% cage-free systems for egg-laying hens.
• Develop and sustain connections with corporate executives through email correspondence, virtual meetings, and face-to-face interactions.
• Lead negotiations under high pressure for animal welfare commitments and OWA global initiatives.
• Conduct research on global food companies and their executives while maintaining data in Salesforce.
• Hold companies accountable for their commitment deadlines and set up progress check-ins.
• Collaborate with both internal and external teams on campaign objectives, strategies, research, commitments, and actions.
• Work in partnership with Open Wing Alliance member organizations and other relevant entities on corporate outreach efforts.
• Provide guidance to THL’s Corporate Engagement team regarding corporate relations strategies and objectives.
• Report directly to the Senior Associate of Global Corporate Relations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and either Korean or Japanese.
• Competence in navigating high-pressure and confrontational situations with assurance and determination.
• Capability to guide, support, and motivate team members, mentor junior staff, and assist in training initiatives.
• Proficiency in independently resolving issues and making informed decisions with sound judgment.
• Skill in communicating persuasively with corporate executives via emails, presentations, and during high-stakes meetings.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with corporate executives and external stakeholders.
• Effectiveness in working across diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Expertise in conducting comprehensive research on food companies and executives utilizing online resources.
• Proficiency in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, identifying trends, and generating reports with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks using Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, and Asana.
• Strong time management skills, attention to detail, workflow optimization, and deadline adherence.
• Strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to assess both short- and long-term impacts.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, including four or more domestic and international trips annually.
• Valid passport for international travel.
• Availability to work occasional hours outside the 9am–5pm timeframe based on time zone differences.
