Global Category Manager, Mechanical – Business Line Analytical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute the global strategy for the mechanical category within the Analytical Business Line.

• Consolidate the global strategy along with the supply base and factories.

• Collaborate with local, regional, and global teams to establish a resilient, cost-effective supply chain.

• Lead sourcing strategies utilizing the CIPS process.

• Ensure the supply base is equipped with the necessary capability and capacity to fulfill current and future business needs.

• Negotiate contracts with key suppliers.

• Update price lists and manage terms and conditions.

• Oversee procurement planning, budgeting, savings forecasts, and cost-reduction initiatives.

• Identify, assess, and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability criteria.

• Provide continuous contract management and supplier oversight.

• Ensure that all relevant parties comprehend and implement the strategy effectively.

• Attain category sourcing performance objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management.

• Ideally, experience in mechanical components, castings, forgings, or plastics.

• Demonstrated success in developing and executing global strategies.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management.

• Experience in aligning factories, local teams, and global leadership.

• Comprehensive negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience.

• Data-driven approach to analysis and reporting.

• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.

• Knowledge of supplier footprint, risk management, and cost optimization.

• Proficiency in utilizing the CIPS process.

• Experience in managing procurement planning, budgets, savings forecasts, and cost-reduction programs.
