Global Category Manager – Business Line Analytical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Formulate and execute the global EMS/PCBA category strategy for ABB’s Analytical Business Line.

• Establish supplier footprint, risk mitigation strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.

• Direct sourcing strategies utilizing the CIPS process.

• Ensure the supply base's capability and capacity align with current and future needs.

• Negotiate supplier contracts, renew pricing schedules, and manage terms and conditions.

• Oversee procurement planning, budgeting, savings projections, and cost-reduction programs.

• Identify, evaluate, and choose suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability criteria.

• Provide continuous management and oversight of supplier contracts.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective execution of the strategy.

• Meet category sourcing performance objectives.

• Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing and category management.

• Ideally experienced in EMS/PCBA or the electronics manufacturing sector.

• Proven history of developing and implementing global strategies.

• Excellent stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience in negotiation and managing supplier relationships.

• Proficient in data-driven analysis and reporting.

• Capability to align factories, local teams, and global leadership.
