Global BPO Performance Excellence Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +7 more locations.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement global operational standards throughout all distribution center locations.

• Ensure uniformity across facilities owned by J&J and those operated by third-party logistics (3PL).

• Establish and oversee distribution center archetypes, performance benchmarks, and operational frameworks.

• Monitor compliance and promote standardization across various regions.

• Maintain global standards and governance for site master planning, continuous improvement, health, safety, and environment (HSE), quality assurance, performance management, service level agreements (SLAs), site scorecards, packaging optimization, waste minimization, and operational efficiency.

• Lead both internal and external benchmarking initiatives while generating insights into industry trends and competition.

• Develop and implement Cost-to-Deliver/Serve models and strategies.

• Offer data-driven insights aimed at enhancing performance and guiding strategic decision-making.

• Define and implement continuous improvement methodologies throughout the network.

• Establish and facilitate global communities of practice.

• Act as the Global Business Process Owner for Deliver Performance Excellence.

• Manage global process governance, standardization, and harmonization.

• Approve global standards and oversee any deviations or local adaptations.

• Build and lead a high-performing global team.

• Enhance leadership capabilities, succession planning, and talent development.

• Advocate for diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being.

• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory standards, and HSE requirements.

• Escalate risks, issues, and areas for improvement to senior leadership.

• Support initiatives aimed at operational excellence and transformation.

• Travel approximately 25% for domestic and international assignments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12–15+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Operations, Operational Excellence, or Distribution/Warehouse Management.

• Demonstrated success in implementing operational standards across global logistics networks.

• Extensive experience in benchmarking and performance analytics.

• Strong background in Cost-to-Serve/Deliver modeling.

• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• In-depth knowledge of distribution center operations and operational excellence frameworks.

• Strong analytical skills, including benchmarking, process mapping, and data mining.

• Experience in developing and enforcing global operational standards.

• Understanding of environmental health and safety (EHS), quality, and regulatory requirements in logistics settings.

• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities within a global matrix.

• Capability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification is preferred.

• APICS, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification is preferred.

• Experience in the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or regulated industries is preferred.
