GHG/Decarbonisation Partner – Global

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with two experts or organizations specializing in GHG and decarbonization to assist with an upcoming initiative focused on Climate Action and Sustainability for Corporates.

• Contribute to the project over a 36-month period starting in October 2026.

• Offer advisory and/or research expertise in areas related to climate change, energy, or sustainability.

• Create decarbonization strategies, including the establishment of targets.

• Evaluate GHG inventories.

• Perform technical evaluations of investments aimed at reducing emissions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a university degree or an equivalent professional qualification in engineering, environmental science, climate change, or a related field.

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in advisory and/or research concerning climate change, energy, or sustainability.

• At least 4 years of experience in carbon footprint analysis, GHG accounting, and implementing emission reduction strategies.

• Proven experience in the development of decarbonization plans, including target setting.

• Experience in reviewing GHG inventories or technically evaluating emission reduction investments.

• Participation in at least 5 relevant projects.

• Familiarity with international climate standards and methodologies such as the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard, SBTi, or TPI (desirable).

• Involvement in at least 1 project that demonstrates knowledge of relevant climate standards and methodologies (desirable).

• Experience in providing technical assistance or project development support to EU institutions within the last 5 years (desirable).
