Genetic Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional genetic counseling services throughout the Providence organization via telemedicine

• Aid in the establishment and expansion of system genetics programs

• Deliver direct patient care

• Act as a versatile clinical resource for areas with limited or developing genetics capabilities

• Assist in the launch of new programs

• Collaborate with local clinical teams to incorporate Genomics programs into their practices

• Engage in multidisciplinary case conferences

• Offer education to providers

• Take part in quality improvement initiatives

• Involve in research activities

• Contribute to the development of workflows and programs

• Work alongside the Genomics leadership team, regional physicians, genetic counselors, and clinical support staff

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling/Clinical Genetics

• Upon hire: Genetic Counselor License - State Board - where applicable

• Upon hire: National Certified Genetic Counselor - American Board of Genetic Counseling

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in providing patient-facing genetic counseling and risk assessment
