This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Maintain generators, troubleshoot and repair issues, install and replace components or complete systems, and carry out maintenance or upgrades.
• Execute performance evaluations and routine maintenance to guarantee generator readiness.
• Interpret and adhere to blueprints and design specifications for installation and repair tasks.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, along with other necessary components.
• Test equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Respond swiftly to power/generator alarms and manage assigned phone and email communications.
• Work safely around hazards related to power supply equipment, switchgear, and associated machinery.
• Utilize safety equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Participate in designated safety and training meetings.
• Service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers within the assigned area.
• Be available for 24/7 on-call responsibilities when required.
• At least one year of intensive work experience related to generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and procedures.
• Preferably two or more years of experience in generator maintenance.
• Comprehensive understanding of generator installation, maintenance, and repair processes.
• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Moderate proficiency in computer skills.
• Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Capability to comply with OSHA Standards.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and maintain a standing position for extended periods.
• Skill to inspect and/or troubleshoot equipment and alarms both visually and audibly.
• Willingness and ability to drive long distances and work during day, evening, or night shifts.
• Availability for overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, holidays, and assigned 24-hour on-call duty.
• Openness to being away from home for extended durations.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.
