This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Provide asynchronous and synchronous instruction in whole-group, small-group, and individualized settings.
• Complete grading, lesson preparation, and communications with students and families within set timelines.
• Maintain a general understanding of the K-12 curriculum along with in-depth knowledge of assigned courses, grades, and subjects.
• Review the curriculum and apply alternative instructional methods to enhance student comprehension and engagement.
• Assist students and Learning Coaches with learning strategies, assignments, projects, and course expectations.
• Facilitate the implementation of Individualized Education Programs, including accommodations and modifications.
• Communicate consistently with students and Learning Coaches using the Learning Management System, phone, and approved tools.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date student records and data, including cumulative files, attendance, student and family information, and communication logs.
• Monitor student progress and collaborate with the Engagement and Counseling Departments.
• Create enrichment activities and suitable program modifications.
• Work together in professional learning communities to develop and revise Personal Learning Plans, assess student work, provide feedback, and enhance instructional strategies.
• Engage in professional development and apply new insights to instructional practices.
• Contribute to a collaborative, student-centered educational environment.
• Develop and implement virtual strategies to foster and sustain school community.
• Organize student social events, field trips, and community activities.
• Manage or participate in field trips and community events.
• Take part in state assessments, school events, student recruitment sessions, outreach, and marketing initiatives.
• Work occasional evening hours and travel, which may include overnight stays.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Active Pennsylvania instructional certification relevant to the assigned grade level and subject area.
• Residency in Pennsylvania.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proven student-centered approach, adaptability, and capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Proven effectiveness in a remote, technology-driven work environment.
• Willingness to travel for state testing, school events, and outreach activities, potentially including overnight travel.
• Availability to work occasional evening hours as necessary to support students and families.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, learning management systems, and related technology.
• Two-step authentication setup required for access to school systems upon employment.
• Preferred: Additional Pennsylvania instructional certifications or endorsements, such as English learner or multiple subject-area credentials.
• Preferred: Experience in teaching in a virtual, online, or blended learning setting.
