General Liability, Casualty Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Investigate, assess, and resolve general liability claims, which include bodily injury and complex litigation issues.

• Manage claims under both primary and excess policies, encompassing coverage analysis and coordination.

• Communicate effectively with insured parties, brokers, carriers, attorneys, and other involved parties in the claim process.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within proprietary claims systems.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external legal counsel regarding litigation strategies and settlement proposals.

• Track the progress of claims, establish reserves, and guarantee timely reporting to clients and insurers.

• Comply with jurisdictional regulations and adhere to company best practices.

• Engage in audits, quality assessments, and performance reviews.

• Deliver outstanding customer service while fostering strong client relationships.

• Update clients on claim status, developments, and the reserving of excess claims.

• Consult with defense counsel for reviews of excess-claim coverage and the defense of primary-policy General Liability Claims.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Contribute to the organization's quality initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• A state adjuster license is required.

• A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Comprehensive legal and jurisdictional knowledge specific to the line of business.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.

• Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong analytical and interpretive capabilities.

• Exceptional organizational skills.

• Excellent interpersonal abilities.

• Strong commitment to customer service.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

• Capable of meeting or exceeding performance competencies.

• Skillful in managing multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
