Gas Operations Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Assist in Engineering & Construction (E&C) involvement in Technology Review, Preliminary Engineering stages, and contracting for ongoing hub gas development initiatives.

• Facilitate E&C Subject Matter Expert (SME) contributions for site layout assessments, constructability evaluations, and balance-of-plant reviews, which include gas and electrical interconnection and switchyard elements.

• Manage project timelines, cost metrics, and cashflow projections to aid in project sanction decisions.

• Supervise and uphold the E&C risk register for hub projects, monitoring scope, timeline, expenses, and constructability risks.

• Recognize and escalate scope changes driven by Development that may pose E&C cost or timeline risks.

• Assist in risk-adjusted cost positioning and contingency analysis for leadership reporting.

• Oversee progress reporting to the Owner, which includes status of schedules, cost performance, risk exposure, and milestone tracking.

• Create one-page project dashboards and presentation materials that encompass scope, budget, equipment status, interconnection, permitting, and required decisions.

• Prepare and uphold project status packages for review at the executive level.

• Collaborate with Integrated Supply Chain on RFQ inputs, technical scope assessments, and bid evaluations for significant equipment and EPC/EPCM scopes.

• Report directly to the Program Manager as an individual contributor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• 5–10 years of experience in energy project development or large-scale construction.

• Proven experience in project controls and schedule creation for gas generation or major capital initiatives.

• Experience managing Owner-level reporting requirements, including progress reports detailing schedule, cost, and risk information.

• Knowledge of EPC/EPCM project delivery methods and contractor bid assessment.

• Background in combined cycle or simple cycle gas development projects.

• Candidates must comply with relevant United States and comparable export control regulations.
