Game Designer, Technical Interviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Conduct technical interviews with GameDev specialists preparing for real interviews.

• Independently select the format, questions, and approach based on the candidate's level and market requirements.

• Objectively assess the technical proficiency of the specialist and their alignment with the stated level: Junior, Middle, or Senior.

• Verify the amount of real-world experience behind the responses provided.

• Identify strengths and areas for growth.

• Provide recommendations for preparation for actual interviews.

• Prepare and deliver structured feedback to the candidate.

• Create a brief structured summary for the team regarding the technical level, soft skills, and readiness for job searching.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of commercial experience in game design, particularly in systems design, combat systems, and progression (roguelike / ARPG / midcore projects).

• Proficiency in Unity or Unreal at the prototyping level.

• Familiarity with Figma / Miro.

• Knowledge of Google Sheets / Excel for balancing and economics.

• Experience with Confluence / Notion for GDD documentation.

• Understanding of analytical tools: GameAnalytics, Amplitude, Firebase.

• Experience working with LiveOps, A/B testing, and metric analysis for data-informed decisions.

• Background in conducting technical interviews and portfolio preparation.

• Experience providing written feedback that evaluates competencies and areas for growth.

• Understanding of current market demands for GameDev specialists and the ability to verify this through practical cases.

• Punctuality and responsibility.

• Timely initiation of calls and provision of feedback within the agreed timeframe.

• A well-formed LinkedIn profile or willingness to update it.
