This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Review current game assets, UI systems, and visual layouts to design reusable, modular graphics templates.
• Distill visual components and essential gameplay mechanics into adjustable parameters for non-technical content creators.
• Collaborate with engineering and art teams to establish specifications for a scalable asset and content pipeline tooling.
• Design intuitive gameplay loops, progression frameworks, visual feedback loops, and reward systems for interactive modules.
• Create and document UI/UX standards, visual design patterns, and benchmarks for aesthetic consistency across game templates.
• Convert complex subject matter into straightforward visual communication frameworks.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for game design and visual layout during client scoping and custom configuration assessments.
• Conduct iterative visual design reviews, aesthetic audits, and usability evaluations.
• Develop documentation such as style guides, asset specifications, and technical configuration parameters.
• Over 4 years of professional experience in game design, focusing on visual design systems, UI/UX, or the evolution of graphics templates (beyond just standalone indie development).
• Proven track record of designing or modularizing visual game assets, level templates, or UI framework systems.
• Extensive technical knowledge in visual communication, graphic asset pipelines, integration workflows, and user-centered design principles.
• Capability to work independently, providing high-level technical guidance and executing tasks in a collaborative setting.
• Independent Contractor (Form 1099-NEC)
• Hourly rate, reflecting experience level.
