Funding Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Funding Manager, Funding Supervisor, Branch Manager, Rehabilitation Technology Supplier, and administrative staff to effectively execute operational procedures.

• Oversee the entire funding transaction process, encompassing coding and pricing, collecting documentation, submitting funding packages, and acquiring payer decisions.

• Manage the duration of the transaction cycle from the Ready to Process stage to Final Funding Approval.

• Acquire any missing demographic details and confirm that client information and minimum documentation prerequisites are accurate.

• Verify client benefits and coverage, and relay benefit information to clients.

• Collect and assess prescriptions, Letters of Medical Necessity, RTS evaluation data, pricing lists, and necessary forms.

• Interact with physicians, therapists, RTSs, clients, branch staff, and referral sources to gather essential documentation and information.

• Research and update payer requirements in the UPD.

• Maintain communication with clients throughout the process, including notifications regarding financial responsibilities.

• Follow up with payer sources to secure timely authorization via the Funding Work Queue.

• Request and secure approval for work order credit exceptions.

• Execute pre-purchase quality assurance and pre-delivery verification for equipment approvals and requirements.

• Collaborate with other funding departments and complete tasks in the Action Required queue.

• Carry out assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Complex Rehab Technology, Medical Billing, or Funding is preferred.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is necessary.

• Must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.

• Completion of all continuing education requirements, including assigned NSM University courses, is mandatory.
