Funding Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the intake, submission, and follow-up processes for new product, repair, and equipment rental orders.

• Liaise with SLPs regarding funding cases, providing guidance on document preparation, funding policies, and regulations.

• Collaborate with insurance providers, government agencies, and educational institutions to facilitate order placements.

• Monitor the progress of funding authorization cases until completion.

• Confirm eligibility through online resources and by communicating with funding agencies.

• Evaluate prior authorization documents to ensure compliance with third-party payer criteria.

• Investigate previous orders and payment history/DSOs for repair or new order inquiries.

• Input and finalize orders in the order management system database.

• Advocate for clients by discussing funding requests and copayment requirements with clients and their families.

• Present client cases to third-party insurance providers and resolve issues effectively.

• Address third-party denials and provide consultation on complex funding cases.

• Notify the supervisor of potential challenges with third-party payers.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, or 2–4 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in the health insurance sector is preferred.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and team-working abilities.

• Customer service orientation is essential.

• Proficient in internet navigation.

• Knowledge of MS Office Word and Outlook.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Capable of sitting at a desk for extended periods.

• Ability to work effectively amid interruptions in a fast-paced setting.

• Candidates must reside in a Central or Mountain time zone.
